DEVICEs WE CAN ASSESS & SUPPORT

We assess faults and physical damage on iPhone and iPad models, and can discuss suitable inspection reports. The checks available depend on the device and access to its settings. If a bank has requested particular checks, send us its requirements before booking.

Support for Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other Android devices, including fault assessment, damage reports and help with unwanted apps, pop-ups or changed home screens. We’ll explain which checks and actions are appropriate for your device.

Diagnostics and damage assessments for Windows laptops, desktop PCs, MacBook and iMac. We investigate reported faults and document the findings where a report is agreed. For security-related inspection requests, we first check the required scope and whether we can provide it.

DEVICE ASSESSMENTs, REPORTs & EVERYDAY SUPPORT

Not sure why your device is freezing, restarting, charging incorrectly or failing to turn on? We assess the symptoms and carry out suitable checks to investigate the fault. Some problems need disassembly or further testing. We’ll explain any diagnostic charges, what the assessment covers and the available next steps. Repairs, replacement parts and written reports are discussed separately where required.

We provide written damage assessments for phones, tablets and computers to support insurance claims. The report identifies the device, records observed damage and tests performed, and explains relevant findings and repair recommendations. Bring your insurer’s requirements before booking. Repair or replacement estimates can be included where appropriate. Your insurer decides whether the report meets its requirements and whether any claim or cost is covered.

If your bank has asked for a device inspection report before reviewing your banking access, share its instructions with us first. Where the required checks are within our service, we can inspect the device and document the checks, findings, agreed work and limitations in a Device Security Inspection Report. The report does not certify that a device is free of every threat. Your bank decides whether to accept it and restore access.

Unexpected ads, unfamiliar apps or a home screen that suddenly looks different? We help with common Android app and settings problems, including unwanted notifications, browser pop-ups and changes to the default home-screen app. We can review relevant settings and remove identified unwanted apps with your approval. Pop-ups alone do not establish that a device has a virus. If the problem needs more advanced investigation, we’ll explain that.

We can guide you through supported password-reset and account-recovery steps, and help you understand two-factor authentication, recovery contacts and backup-code options. You remain in control of your own accounts and enter your credentials yourself. Available options depend on the provider’s identity checks and recovery process; we cannot bypass account protections or guarantee restored access. Bring your device and be prepared to use your own recovery email or phone.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR ASSESSMENT REPORT

A useful report describes the work actually completed on your device. It should give the recipient clear findings and explain any limits to the assessment.

Damage Assessment Report

Your report records the device details, the incident as described by you, our separate observations, the checks performed and relevant repair advice. Where suitable, it includes an estimate and supporting photographs. We identify areas that could not be inspected or tested.

Device Security Inspection Report

Your report records the device and software details, the agreed inspection scope, checks actually performed, findings and any approved work. It also records unavailable checks or unresolved concerns. This allows the requesting bank to review what was examined without implying a complete security certification.

Before your appointment: bring the device, its charger if relevant, and the bank’s or insurer’s written requirements. Tell us about previous repairs and important files. If data is missing or liquid damage is involved, contact us before attempting a reset, further use or charging.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

CLEAR ANSWERs & PERSONAL SUPPORT

A confusing fault, unwanted pop-ups or a request for a report can be stressful. My aim is to explain what I can check, what I find and what your options are in plain language. I’ll be upfront when a request needs support beyond what I provide, and I won’t promise an insurance outcome or banking access. Bring the details and we’ll work through the next step together.

DEVICE DIAGNOSTICs & ASSESSMENT REPORTs FAQs

Can you provide a damage report for my insurance claim?

Yes. We provide damage assessments for suitable phones, tablets and computers. Ask your insurer what it needs and share those requirements before booking, including any requested format or assessor qualifications. We’ll confirm what we can provide and the report fee. The insurer determines acceptance, cover and payment, including whether the assessment fee is reimbursed.

My bank asked for a ‘malware-free certificate’. Can you help?

Send us the bank’s exact requirements before booking. If the required checks are within our service, we can provide a Device Security Inspection Report describing the inspection, findings and limitations. We cannot certify that every possible threat is absent or guarantee acceptance. If the bank requires methods or qualifications outside our service, we’ll explain this before proceeding. The bank controls the decision to restore access.

Do you offer cybersecurity or virus removal services?

Our service focuses on everyday device support, including unwanted Android apps, pop-ups, relevant settings and agreed device checks. We do not offer specialist cybersecurity investigations or promise removal of every type of malware. We can assess the symptoms, explain the work we can reasonably provide and recommend specialist help when needed.

Can you recover my password or help with two-factor authentication?

We can help you follow the account provider’s official recovery steps and understand supported two-factor authentication options. Recovery depends on the provider’s checks and the information or recovery methods available to you. We cannot bypass device locks, account security or verification requirements. You enter your own passwords and codes; don’t send them through our enquiry form.

How much does an assessment cost, and how long will it take?

The fee and timeframe depend on the device, the fault, the checks required and whether you need a written report. We’ll explain the proposed scope and charges before you approve the work. Additional repairs or further testing are quoted separately where needed. Tell us about any deadline, but check the expected turnaround with us before relying on it.
