3-MONTH WARRANTY [Repair]

Phone Chase is committed to providing quality repair services for your electronic devices. We offer a 3-month limited warranty on all repairs performed by our certified technicians.

We aim to be fair, transparent, and supportive with every repair. This warranty is designed to protect you from faults in our workmanship while also being realistic about risks outside our control.


Warranty Coverage

Phone Chase covers the specific component(s) repaired or replaced on your device against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 months from the date of repair completion.

Repair guarantee
If within the warranty period the part we installed develops any fault or defect, Phone Chase will repair or replace that part at no additional cost, provided the fault is due to defective parts or workmanship and there is no physical or liquid damage present.

This warranty applies only to the specific component(s) repaired or replaced during your service and does not extend to any other parts or pre-existing conditions of the device.

This warranty is valid only for the original customer and is non-transferable.


Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Tampering or modification by anyone other than Phone Chase technicians
  • Pre-existing faults or underlying issues not part of the original repair
  • Subsequent damage unrelated to the original repair
  • Any liquid damage (before or after repair — see Liquid Damage Policy)
  • Physical damage (scratches, cracks, pressure marks, LCD lines, discolouration)
  • Issues with components that were not part of the original repair
  • Software issues, data loss, or normal battery degradation (unless the battery was replaced and found defective)
  • Damage caused by third-party accessories, chargers, or cables
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Customer dissatisfaction with part quality, appearance, or performance

Liquid Damage Policy

Devices with any liquid exposure are not covered under warranty at any time:

  • Any liquid exposure (water, beverages, humidity, condensation, or any fluid exposure) automatically voids warranty coverage
  • This applies whether the liquid damage occurred before or after your repair
  • Liquid-damaged devices can be repaired, but all such repairs are performed without warranty
  • Liquid damage can cause unpredictable issues and is not considered a defect in our repair work

Voiding the Warranty

The warranty is immediately void if:

  • The device shows any signs of liquid damage or liquid exposure
  • The device shows physical damage (scratches, cracks, dents, pressure marks)
  • The device has been dropped or impacted after the repair
  • The screen shows pressure marks, LCD lines, discolouration, or leakage caused by trauma
  • The device is repaired or serviced by anyone other than Phone Chase
  • Warranty seals or indicators have been removed or tampered with
  • Water resistance/IP rating is expected (water and dust resistance is not guaranteed after repair)

Customer Responsibility

We take pride in explaining all repair options, setting realistic expectations, and recommending the best solutions before beginning any work.

When we recommend a specific repair option, we do so with your best interest in mind, not to upsell you. Our recommendations are based on quality, longevity, and minimising future issues.
For example, we may recommend an OLED screen over an INCELL screen due to better durability and performance, not simply because it costs more.

Your choice is your responsibility.
If you choose a more affordable option after we’ve explained the differences, we respect that decision. However, you must accept the limitations and potential issues that may come with that choice. We are not responsible for quality or performance differences resulting from lower-tier repair options.

Once you approve a repair, you are responsible for:

  • The repair option you selected and its limitations
  • Protecting your device from physical damage and liquid exposure
  • Understanding the warranty covers workmanship and parts only
  • Any damage that occurs after your device leaves our care

Claim Process

To make a claim under this warranty:

  • Contact us: Email contact@phonechase.co with your original repair receipt/invoice
  • Bring the device in: The device must be presented for inspection
  • Assessment: Our technicians will assess the device and determine warranty eligibility
  • Timing: Warranty claims must be reported as soon as the fault is noticed
  • Continued use: Continued use of a faulty device may void warranty eligibility

Our assessment is final.


Limitation of Liability

Phone Chase’s liability under this warranty is limited to re-servicing the repaired component only.
Refunds are not offered for completed repair services.

To the extent permitted by law, Phone Chase is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of data or loss of use.

Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights.
